چکیده

Scallop shells are currently a major form of waste generated in the Chinese fishing industry. However, they have potential to be used as important industrial products. This study was conducted assess utility scallop shell powder (SSP) supplementation improving growth king oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus eryngii) grown on sawdust and sugarcane bagasse substrates. The outcomes interest included mycelial growth, yield, biological efficiency, fruiting body traits, nutrient supply, mineral composition P. eryngii. Supplementation with SSP accelerated yield bodies (399.5 g/bag) efficiency (84.6%) were 14% higher after substrate 2% compared those substrates not supplemented (349.8 g/bag 74.0%, respectively). Moreover, crude protein fiber contents significantly improved SSP. Furthermore, increased calcium (Ca) content eryngii by 64% (to 67.2 ± 15.7 mg kg−1) that control (41.0 kg−1). revealed can efficiently use Ca provided raw SSP, generating their bodies. Our results demonstrate useful for enhancing both nutritional

Effect of calcinated oyster shell powder on growth, yield, spawn run, and primordial formation of king oyster mushroom (Pleurotus eryngii).

This study was conducted to evaluate the calcium (Ca) absorption efficacy of king oyster mushroom (Pleurotus eryngii) grown on sawdust medium supplemented with Ca-sources, including oyster shell powder, and to determine the efficacy of oyster shell powder as a calcium supplement on growth, yield, spawn run and primordial formation of P. eryngii. Optimum calcination of oyster shell powder was ac...

Cultivation of different strains of king oyster mushroom (Pleurotus eryngii) on saw dust and rice straw in Bangladesh.

Pleurotus eryngii is a popular mushroom due to its excellent consistency of cap and stem, culinary qualities and longer shelf life. In Bangladesh, where Pleurotus mushrooms are very popular, P. eryngii may take position among the consumers, but currently this mushroom is not cultivated in large scale there. In this study, 3 strains of P. eryngii such as Pe-1 (native to Bangladesh), Pe-2 (germpl...

Isolation of Bacteria Associated with the King Oyster Mushroom, Pleurotus eryngii

Eight distinct bacteria were isolated form diseased mycelia of the edible mushroom, Pleurotus eryngii. 16S rDNA sequence analysis showed that the isolates belonged to a variety of bacterial genera including Bacillus (LBS5), Enterobacter (LBS1), Sphingomonas (LBS8 and LBS10), Staphylococcus (LBS3, LBS4 and LBS9) and Moraxella (LBS6). Among them, 4 bacterial isolates including LBS1, LBS4, LBS5, a...

Bioremediation of aflatoxin B1-contaminated maize by king oyster mushroom (Pleurotus eryngii)

Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) is the most harmful mycotoxin that occurs as natural contaminant of agricultural commodities, particularly maize. Practical solutions for detoxification of contaminated staples and reduction of agricultural wastes are scarce. We investigated the capability of the white-rot and edible fungus Plerotus eryngii (king oyster mushroom) to degrade AFB1 both in vitro and in a labora...

EFFECT OF PURE AND MIXED SUBSTRATE ON OYSTER MUSHROOM (Pleurotus ostreatus) CULTIVATION

Effects of Pure and Mixed substrates on nutritional composition, minerals and growth of Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) were studied in present study. Results of the study revealed that the total protein content, ash, crude fiber and crude fat were higher in the mushroom harvested from mixed substrate (23.64, 8.17, 0.90 and 2.93%nrespectively) than that of the pure substrates (21.02, 3.40...
